Regional Arts WA in partnership with The Junction Co., are excited to invite you to participate in a dynamic, career developing, Creative Leadership Program, right here in the Pilbara!

 

Designed for Pilbara-based organisations, community leaders, teachers, artists and creative thinkers, this intensive leadership program will give you the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to build and strengthen your creative leadership skills.

Led by Dr Shona Erskine, a registered psychologist and an Adjunct Lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Edith Cowan University, the program has been designed to help facilitate a culture of self-led leadership, collaborative leadership and community-led contribution, to specifically nurture the growth of leaders in the Pilbara.

There are two program dates available for participants: a 2-day session in Port Hedland, or a 1-day intensive in Tom Price. 

The program format has been designed to be delivered two modules, with a third non-compulsory module available for participation in 2021: 

BEING CREATIVE
Creative practice skills that everyone can use, no matter the situation. These micro-skills are easy to access and research has shown you will have a better than even chance at being creative when you need to be. No background in creative practice is needed to develop these skills. 

CREATIVITY IN GROUPS
Leadership processes for working with groups that need to think laterally and produce creative solutions. Creativity is most often a group endeavour. This module articulates the factors that guide groups toward creative solutions. 

ABOUT DR. SHONA ERSKINE
Shona delivers a diverse range of workshops using the neuropsychology of creative practice and runs facilitation processes that focus on the complexity and perspective of the thinking processes which offers a deeper understanding for coaches, artists and key organisation staff members.
