Changing Tides
This painting captures the accidental patterns left by sand bubbler crabs feeding and filtering on Cable Beach. The large tides in the Kimberley’s constantly reveal and wash away the ephemeral traces and mark making of different creatures. At low tide the immense patterns of marine life are revealed for a moment. On early morning walks I take note of these temporary paintings, enjoying the constantly changing tidal environment in which I find myself living in and its array of surprises.
