There are reputed to be 100 million flies for every human on the planet.

They are the most successful of organisms, quietly keeping the ecosystem in balance.

It is interesting to see how we live alongside these insects, creatures that are vital to our own existence.

Our relationship to them is, at best, ambivalent and, at worst, destructive.
This small insect is a constant companion, dancing around us like clouds around a storm.
