‘The unfurling’ is part of the intimate, evolving series “Float, I’ll hold you” that documents the places I have swum with my daughters from the time before they were born and since they were young. This series seeks to document my journey, as a woman and a mother, as I age alongside my adult daughters. ‘The unfurling’ was taken at sunrise in a place where the river meets the sea, a nostalgic place where I taught my daughters to swim.
