Kimberley Time

“The last decade of my life seems defined by experiences in the West Kimberley bush. As a remote arts worker, I spent long days outdoors observing how the landscape changed with time. This drawing shows a termite mound and two shadows cast from the sun at different intervals. Initially, I recorded this image as a double exposure photograph, clocking the passing of time in Nyikina Country, where I live off the grid outside Derby.”
