The south Hedland water tower was built around 1975. I like to paint the water tower because it was one of the first things you would see coming from Roebourne to south Hedland. As soon as you would see it you knew where going to be home soon. It was one of my first memorises I recall as a teenager coming back to find my mother. Now when I travel with my children its there turn to see who can spot it first
