In the West Kimberley there is a tale about the small man and how you don’t want him to visit you. If you do not respect the land, the Small Man pays you a visit and give you a warning, If he visits you again you get a second warning. If you get a third visit you are banished from the land. My painting reflects a group of men and animals, Watching out for the Small Man. The ET type figure represents ancient lore (out of respect i didn’t use an Aboriginal motif.
