Evenings By The River | Melissa Foster

For a few days I explored Barnett River Gorge and it’s surrounds with my family, in the evenings we relaxed and bathed by a camp on the river. This painting is of a view by the camp, here I look to not only capture an essence of light on land but also the connection and emotive charge of the landscape. The final artwork comes together from studies and memories captured in the field during my time exploring the Gibb River Rd.
