Did you know Australians discard close to 800,000 tonnes of clothing and textiles each year? That’s a rate of 15 tonnes every 10 minutes! Join us in the Courthouse Gallery+Studio Gardens to update your wardrobe in a sustainable way at the Portside Re-Style clothing market and exchange! Featuring a Tik-Tok styling workshop for all our young content creators!

Calling all young creatives – we have your school holiday activity covered! Hedland’s young creatives are invited to a fun drop-in style art+craft workshop, where you’ll be lead on a journey of making your own creative head-wear. Recommended for 4 – 10 year olds. A parent or guardian must be present at all times. Proof of vaccination is required upon entry into the Courthouse Gallery+Studio venue.

Come on down to Marapikurrinya Park for our school holidays Easter egg hunt! Featuring a special appearance from the Easter Bunny + friends. Bring down the whole family for a morning of fun within Portside.

GALAXY WORKSHOP

Inspired by the photography works of Sam Bell in Radius 3.0, young Hedland creatives are invited to go on an explore of the galaxy! Join the Courthouse Gallery+Studio team for a morning of art+craft and be inspired by the current exhibition, as you create something special to be able to take home. Drop-in style, but please register your spot through the Proof of vaccination is required upon entry into the Courthouse Gallery+Studio venue.

CHILDREN’S ABORIGINAL CULTURE AND ART LESSON WITH LAUREN GREATORE

The children’s art workshop will be a gentle introduction to Malgana Aboriginal Culture and an opportunity to learn Malgana words (Malgana is the local language to Shark Bay). We are offering a special opportunity for small group of young people between 8-14 years old, to learn common aboriginal symbols that are used in artworks and creat your own dot painting story. Proof of vaccination is required upon entry into the Courthouse Gallery+Studio venue.
