Honesty / end of self

DESCRIPTION: Step 1 of any 12 step program asks us to admit powerlessness – it’s the raw honesty that no matter what we doing or who we are we are not in control. That admission of powerlessness kills our reality and to some degree ourselves as we know it. This has been depicted in my painting of the death of a possum in New Zealand that my friend and fellow artist Abigail Jensen captured.
