We’re thrilled to bring you the 2025 Portside Twilight Christmas Festival!
Join us for a magical evening of shopping, food, and festive fun beneath the sparkling Pilbara stars. Explore unique creations from local artists and makers, enjoy delicious eats from food trucks and local cafés, and soak up live music, performances, and family entertainment.
And don’t miss The Great Portside Elf Hunt, a playful adventure through the precinct where families can search for six cheeky elves using our custom map commissioned by local artist Sarah Green. Complete to mission to win some festive prizes!
There’s something for everyone at this year’s Portside Twilight Christmas Festival, the perfect way to kick off the holiday season in the heart of the West End.

The Portside Market returns for another magical year, with stall holder’s transforming the precinct from the Gallery Gardens all the way down both sides of Wedge Street. Browse a beautiful selection of stalls featuring local makers, artists, and small businesses.

Step into the magic of Portside this Christmas and soak up the sights, sounds, and sparkle of the 2025 Twilight Festival. Wander the markets, then kick back and enjoy a vibrant line-up of entertainment throughout the evening.
Think roving stilt walkers, live tunes from Mr. Widdy and Locked Groove Duo – Tom & Fab, and a joyful performance by the Baler School Choir to set the festive mood. Snap a laugh (or ten!) at the Awkward Family Photo Booth, and let the little ones get creative with face painting and sensory play.
And for a touch of adventure, join The Great Portside Elf Hunt; a playful trail of discovery with surprises waiting around every corner.
It’s all happening right here in the heart of the West End — a night to shop, play, and celebrate community under the Pilbara stars.

Step inside the Courthouse Gallery+Studio and experience the powerful new Strelley Mob exhibition — a captivating showcase of animation, historical archives, and rarely seen illustrations that bring to life the story of the 1946 Pilbara Strike. This landmark moment in Australia’s history saw Aboriginal pastoral workers take a stand for fair treatment and self-determination, and the exhibition honours the enduring legacy of the Strelley Mob — the families who continued to live, work, and tell their stories on their own terms.
While you’re there, browse the Store+Stockroom — always brimming with locally made and Australian-designed artworks and gifts, perfect for your Christmas shopping. And before you head back out to the festival fun, make sure to swing by the Awkward Family Photo Booth for that gloriously cringey festive snap you’ll laugh about for years to come — props, awkward poses, and all!
