WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
With the opportunity for capacity building and encouragement of connection of people and place, the Ceramics Studio engages local community members to create beautiful objects and capture memories of Port Hedland in their ceramic pieces. The development of the Ceramics Studio was based on conversations and requests from the creative community for access to ceramic facilities and workshops.
WHERE IS THE STUDIO
The Ceramic Studio is located right alongside the Courthouse Gallery+Studio. The studio is equipped with a working space, spinning wheel and its very own kiln. There is a vast variety of tools and recourses on offer with ceramics and professional development workshops and classes held in both the Ceramics Studio and inside the Gallery’s Makers space as well as online.
