The Dirty Earth Project is an opportunity for the youth of Hedland to learn more about recycling, responsible use of resources and sustainable living through creative exploration. The project will raise awareness around recycling and sustainability and building strong coalitions between the community, education, sustainability and the arts.

The Dirty Earth Project will consist of a series of workshops in both South and Port Hedland and a school holiday program that will help build knowledge and skills in transforming commonly discarded objects into works of art that can be entered into the Youth Art Prize that will be held in November.

Wonder Lab

Get creative with us at the Wonder Lab, where we’ll be sharing art techniques, skills and projects and discover creative, innovative ways of thinking. The program encourages creative expression and experimentation to foster social inclusion and collective growth in Hedland’s youth community.

Dirty Earth Art Workshops

Let your creativity run wild as we explore various art techniques and unleash our
imaginations to create a sustainable masterpiece. At these workshops, kids will have the opportunity to work with our experienced facilitators and be guided through fun and engaging activities, working towards creating a sustainable art masterpiece.
